Tibetan nomadic life is hard, and in the cold, there is little to eat. Water buffalo is amain staple of the Tibetan diet and when an animal is used for food nothing is wasted.
2. Impermanence
Bone jewelry is usually worn to remind yourself of the impermanence of life. In Buddhism, it is believed that attachment is the root of suffering. And since nothing in life is permanent, being aware of the fact will reduce suffering.
3. Seven Chakra
The seven chakra stones balance and realign a person's chakras, and allows the person to feel more positive. Each chakra stone absorbs their respective negative energy and replaces it with to positive energy characteristic to the corresponding gemstone. These gemstones have been used for beauty, healing, and protection in ancient times, and this bracelet cleanses, balances, and strengthens the body's seven chakras
4. Guru Bead
There is also a head bead, one that is larger than the others, and it is often called a “guru bead.” Some believe that this bead has a special significance, as representing one’s guru, for example, but very practically, this bead is the starting point for the mantras and is not counted among the 108 total.
5. Turquoise
Stabilized Turquoise is a valued power stone. It will strengthen and align all of the Chakras; and it can be used to cleanse your energy centers. As a meditation tool, the gem can assist in clearing your mind, opening you to the Universal All. Use Turquoise to attune to the spiritual plane or provide protection during vision quests or astral travel.
6. Red Coral
Coral is considered auspicious and is worn in the necklace by almost all the women of Kumaon and among the Tibetans as well. Red Coral is a fossil coral meaning it's the remains of old coral and has been dyed red. The ones being traded are the traditional ones Tibetans wear traditionally. It is believed to be advantageous to one's health and protects from the danger of widowhood, as well as bringing good luck or good fortune to the house. Coral also quiets the emotions and brings peace and harmony to the surroundings.
Red is related to life force and preservation. The Buddha Amitabha is depicted with a red body in Tibetan art. The part of the body associated with this color is the tongue. Fire is the natural element complementary to the color red. In Buddhism, meditating on the color red transforms the delusion of attachment into the wisdom of discernment.
